Description of parts
This lot contains both striking variants of the 2024 Canadian $2 (Toonie) commemorative coin, issued for the 100th anniversary (1924-2024) of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) . Both coins are guaranteed to be in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition, meaning they have never been in circulation and retain their mint luster (grades MS-60 to MS-70).
The reverse design, created by artist Bernard G. Allum, features an array of aircraft representing the history, work and future of the RCAF, including the Supermarine Spitfire, the CF-18 Hornet and the F-35 Lightning II.
Part 1: Regular Version (Uncolored)

Description: The coin features the ARC/RCAF design in its standard bimetallic version (nickel ring and brass center), without coloured ink.

BU quality (MS-60 to MS-70): Uncirculated condition. Quality ranging from rough roll strike (MS-60) to absolute perfection (MS-70).
Part 2: Color Version (Selectively Colored)

Description: The reverse design features a selective application of black, blue, and green ink in the center, depicting airplanes and the sky/earth. This coloring highlights the central circular motif.

BU quality (MS-60 to MS-70): Uncirculated condition. The quality of the strike and the application of the ink (which must be intact) vary from MS-60 to MS-70.
