2023 2 Dollars (Toonie) Commemorative "National Indigenous Peoples Day" (Color)
BU (MS-64) CHOICE
Description of the room
This 2023 Canadian $2 (Toonie) coin is the colourized version of the commemorative issue celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day .
The reverse is the result of a unique collaboration between artists Megan Currie , Myrna Pokiak , and Jennine Krauchi . The selective coloring on the core of the coin highlights the cultural symbols of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.
The coin is certified MS-64 (Mint State 64) , classifying it as a "Choice." It is a very good quality uncirculated coin. It retains its full mint luster , but, as a circulating coin, it may exhibit a moderate number of contact marks or minor minting flaws that are more noticeable than in higher grades. The color application is generally well preserved , but it may show small imperfections related to the minting process. This is an excellent specimen for any collector seeking a high-quality uncirculated version.
The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, with the double commemorative year of her reign ("1952-2022").
