This set is a centerpiece for any collector of Canadian numismatics. It is the transitional series struck in 2023 to mark the end of an era. As First Strikes , these coins were produced with new dies at the beginning of the year, offering superior detail to commemorate the Queen's 70-year reign.
The Obverse (Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II)
All the coins bear the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. An additional historical feature is added to this obverse: the double date inscription "1952-2022" separated by four pearls symbolizing the four portraits that adorned Canadian coins during her reign.
