2002-P Canada: 25 Cents Golden Jubilee (Effigy Machin)

BU (Brilliant Out of Circulation) Quality — Grade: MS-64 CHOICE +

Description of the room

This 2002 25-cent coin is a prestige edition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. For this historic event, the Royal Canadian Mint departed from the usual portrait and used the classic effigy of Arnold Machin . Identified by the mint mark "P" , this multi-layered steel-plated example is in remarkable condition. The MS-64 Choice+ grade indicates a coin with near-perfect surfaces, a brilliant luster, and surgically precise striking.

The Obverse (Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - Effigy of Arnold Machin)

The obverse features Arnold Machin 's portrait of the Queen (wearing the diadem). To the left of the bust are the inscription "25 CENTS" and the mint mark "P" . In Choice+ quality, the luster is of superior intensity and the fields are of great purity, offering a magnificent contrast with the frosted relief of the portrait.

The Reverse (The Caribou and the Double Date)

The reverse features Emanuel Hahn's famous Caribou , accompanied by the double commemorative date "1952-2002" . In MS-64 grade, the coin is free of any distracting bag marks. The rotating brilliance ("cartwheel") is strong and uniform across the entire surface, highlighting every detail of the animal's antlers.
