The obverse, created by the artist Dora de Pédery-Hunt, features the bust of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscription "ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA". In MS-69 grade, this side exhibits exceptional luster and brilliance. The coin is near-perfect, with only microscopic striking flaws or contact marks that can only be detected under magnification.

Certification details

  • Grade: MS-69

  • Description of the grade:

    • MS (Mint State): The coin has never circulated. It has retained its original minted condition.

    • 69 (on the Sheldon scale): This is the highest grade before absolute perfection. A coin marked MS-69 is nearly perfect. It may have one or two minor, unobtrusive imperfections that are only visible under magnification, such as a small contact mark or a tiny striking flaw.

    • BU (Brilliant Uncirculated): The coin has not circulated and has retained all its brilliance. This is confirmed by the numerical grade.

    • "Near Perfect GEM": This designation highlights the exceptional quality of the piece, which is so close to perfection that it is considered a "jewel" of exceptional beauty and rarity.

A coin with an MS-69 grade is very rare. Its value is significantly higher than that of a standard circulation coin, making it an excellent investment and a valuable addition to any coin collection.
