1993 10 Cents (Dime) “Bluenose”
BU (MS-69) Near Perfect GEM
Description of the room
This 1993 Canadian 10-cent coin features the iconic "Bluenose" schooner design. Although it is a circulating coin, its condition sets it apart from the majority of examples. This particular coin has been graded extremely highly, approaching perfection.
General characteristics
Obverse (reverse side)
The obverse, created by the artist Dora de Pédery-Hunt, features the bust of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscription "ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA". In MS-69 grade, this side exhibits exceptional luster and brilliance. The coin is near-perfect, with only microscopic striking flaws or contact marks that can only be detected under magnification.
Reverse (front side)
The reverse, designed by Emanuel Hahn, depicts the schooner "Bluenose" sailing on the water, with the date "1993" and the value "10 CENTS". The inscription "CANADA" is located at the top of the design. For a coin of this grade, the details of the ship, sails, and waves are remarkably sharp. The luster is full and uniform across the entire surface.
Certification details
A coin with an MS-69 grade is very rare. Its value is significantly higher than that of a standard circulation coin, making it an excellent investment and a valuable addition to any coin collection.
