1990 Canada: 25 Cents Caribou
BU (Brilliant Out of Circulation) Quality — Grade: MS-64 CHOICE+
Description of the room
This 1990 25-cent coin is an exceptionally well-preserved example, graded Choice+ . At that time, pure nickel offered a deep white luster, but it was rare to find circulating coins with so few contact marks. The MS-64 grade indicates a coin that has never circulated, displaying a complete cartwheel luster and highly luminous fields. The "Choice+" designation underscores a visual appeal that approaches prestige grades.
The Obverse (Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II)
The portrait of Queen Elizabeth II (second effigy by Arnold Machin) is beautifully preserved. In MS-64 quality, the fields are virtually free of bag marks, allowing the original satin finish of the Royal Canadian Mint to shine through.
The Reverse
Emanuel Hahn's iconic Caribou motif is struck with surgical precision. The details of the antlers, eye, and fur are absolutely crisp. The luster is particularly vivid around the legends and the date "1990".
