This duo celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Lucy Maud Montgomery, the world-renowned author of the novel Anne of Green Gables . These coins, from Special Wrap Rolls, are guaranteed out of circulation.

The Reverse Motif design features a profile of the author at the time she was writing her famous novel. The color version highlights the iconic Prince Edward Island landscape with shades of blue and green, while the regular version emphasizes the delicate engraving on the metal. It also features the author's signature and Montgomery's famous cat.

The Obverse Both coins feature the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, marking one of the first commemorative 1 dollar coins issued during his reign.
