This 2023 Canadian $2 (Toonie) coin is the commemorative issue celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day . The reverse features a historic collaborative design, the first of its kind on a Canadian circulation coin, created by three artists: Megan Currie (English River First Nation), Myrna Pokiak (Inuvialuit), and Jennine Krauchi (Métis). The design incorporates powerful symbols representing their respective cultures.

The coin is certified MS-69 (Mint State 69) , a grade that positions it as a SUPERB GEM (Superb Jewel) or Near-Perfect . This level of quality is exceptional for a circulating coin.
