2008 Canada 25 Cents - Snowboarding
Vancouver Series 2010 — MS-68 Quality (Superb +)
Description of the room
This 25-cent coin celebrates the energy and innovative spirit of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Snowboarding, an iconic sport of youth and daring, is immortalized here in Superb+ condition. In this state, the coin represents a major rarity, as very few examples survived the mass production process without any visible imperfections.
The Reverse Pattern
The design, created by artist Glenn Green, depicts a snowboarder performing an acrobatic jump. The dynamic composition uses lines of movement that emphasize speed. In the background, a stylized maple leaf and the Games logo (Ilanaaq) complete the design. Printed on MS-68 paper, the precision of the details—such as the textures of the board and the contours of the athlete's clothing—is absolutely crisp.
The Obverse
The obverse features a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. At this grade, the fields are exceptionally pure, offering a uniform, satiny luster that beautifully highlights the royal profile.

-

-
Visual appeal: The "+" designation highlights a superior visual appeal, placing this copy among the finest known specimens for this edition.
