1993 Canada: 25 Cents Caribou
BU (Brilliant Out of Circulation) Quality — Grade: MS-62
Description of the room
After 1992, a year dedicated to provincial celebrations, the 1993 25-cent coin returned to its iconic design. Struck in pure nickel, this coin displays the crisp, white luster characteristic of the Royal Canadian Mint of that period. The MS-62 grade indicates a coin that has never circulated, retaining its original mint luster while exhibiting normal contact marks for a coin handled in bulk during production.
The Obverse (Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II)
The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Dora de Pédery-Hunt (third effigy). The portrait is well-defined and the luster flows freely across the coin's fields.
The Reverse
It features Emanuel Hahn's famous Caribou . The engraving is precise, and the date "1993" is clearly inscribed to the right of the animal's neck. The reliefs show no wear, preserving the integrity of the original design.
